culture is the foundation, not an add on.
Culture isn't part of the work, it is the work. It’s the thread that ties every part of Youth Led Services together — from how we show up in community, to how we build trust, deliver support, and shape outcomes that actually last.
We exist to empower young people living with disabilities by offering culturally safe support, real-world skills, and spaces that honour identity — not erase it. For those who see the world differently, we’re here to offer something deeper: a real sense of belonging, connection to community, and a foundation of independence that’s both personal and practical.
We believe culture is care — it heals, protects, and nurtures when access is made available. We follow youth-led decision-making, because young people already know what they need — we’re just here to listen, support, and make space. We hold ourselves to accountability over authority, and we build support that doesn’t stick forever — because true care knows when to step forward, and when to step back.

culture driven. community first. youth-led , always.
Youth Led Services isn’t just a provider. We’re a movement — built by community, for community. We exist for the ones who never fit neatly into boxes. The ones who see the world differently, feel deeply, move at their own rhythm. And we’re here to make sure they’re not just included — they’re empowered, celebrated, and backed every step of the way.
We’re not here to ‘fix’ anyone. We’re here to create safer, culturally grounded spaces where young people with disabilities can connect, grow, and be seen for who they are. Because they deserve more than services.
They deserve identity, belonging, and the freedom to walk their own path — without needing to shrink themselves to fit someone else's version of “support.”

Our work is guided by Cultural Intent. A practice that values connection over compliance, and engagement over intervention. We don't arrive with answers, but with open ears and a commitment to walk beside young people, not ahead of them.
When it's time, we step back because real support builds capacity, not dependency. Whether we're delivering NDIS support, hosting community events, or mentoring future culturally responsive providers, the YLS way always stays the same.
Learn. Do. Teach. Exit.
Support without power-sharing isn’t support at all. We’re not here to replicate systems — we’re here to transform them from the inside out, so that every young person can move forward with strength, dignity, and self-determination.
