ndis support for first nations communities.

At YLS, we deliver high-quality, culturally responsive NDIS supports designed to empower First Nation's young people and families. Our approach is guided by Cultural Intent, centring connection over compliance and collaboration over intervention.

We don't walk ahead or behind our participants, we walk beside them. Every service we provide is built around our core practice model; learn, do, teach, exit. It's how we build confidence, capacity and community so that the people we support can live independently, connected to culture and Country.

Youth Led Services acknowledges that

we are working and walking on traditional lands of First Nations people of this country. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of all the lands we travel through. We hold heart for the injustices to Country through invasion and understand that the trauma is embedded into the depths of the spirits. We also acknowledge the resilience and strength of First Nation peoples show true warrior spirit.

First Nations people have worked and walked in two worlds successfully for centuries, and have been able to maintain cultural practices through a cultural genocide and provide support and learning for our non-Indigenous peoples in Australia. We extend our acknowledgment to First Peoples around the world, holding space in our hearts of the injustices of invasion that have been experienced by many of our Indigenous brothers and sisters.

We have heart, spirit and ancestors that guide us through our journey, we will walk this path remembering the footprints before us and creating space for the ones that will walk after us.
