Welcome to YLS
YLS are a team of community workers who are dedicated to working with people with disabilities who are seeking to connect to cultural practices and build their skills to connect to their culture. Using First Nations engagement strategies we aim to provide our clients with support, everyday skills, fun and education. Through our engagement strategies such as art, nature, connection to land, dadirri, fireside yarns and other cultural practices, we support clients to identify and celebrate their skills and self-determination. YLS processes strengthen clients capacities through connection, community, communication, leadership, support, emotional regulation and other key factors, to build independence.
Youth-Led Services offers a variety of services that concentrate on employee, service, and sector development. With a history of more than twenty years, YLS has been actively involved in community sector projects and is committed to establishing secure cultural environments for Indigenous communities.
Our service aims to work with NDIS clients base and we are a fee for service for any service including Out of Home Care services and Child Safety, and other services.
YLS offers a range of services designed to skill young people with disabilities to live full, connected, and self-determined lives. We also work with services and employees to improve service delivery from a culturally educated standpoint. To see if our services are right for you, book a free 30 minute yarn and a cuppa with us.
